Sports When Pregnant? Why not!

Many women are afraid to do activities, especially exercise, while pregnant with the reason to maintain the health of the fetus. Especially when the gestational age is increasing, and weight gain makes women lazy to move.

It's better to leave the habit now. Dr. James F. from Cleveland Medical University, USA revealed that exercise was good for the health of women who were pregnant.

A study conducted by James on 39 pregnant women. These women used to exercise when they were not pregnant. As many as 20 of them continue to practice their sports habits while pregnant. While the remaining 19 stopped their sports habits during pregnancy.

Women who continue to exercise have a health rate of 82 percent during pregnancy. In contrast, women who were not exercising were only 52 percent healthy.

Quoted detikhot from Reuters Health, Tuesday (18/11/2008), women who are still actively exercising during pregnancy can also lose weight faster. Not only that, the women's heart rate and blood pressure also improved.

But what needs to be remembered, exercise activities must be reduced when the gestational age reaches 12 weeks. Exercise can return to normal after 6 months of childbirth.
